SAN DIEGO -- The future of California's Proposition 8, which is weaving its way through the court system, will be the topic at the next meeting of the San Diego Democratic Club (SDDC).

Attorney Jason Molnar will be the featured speaker at the club's meeting at 7 pm Thursday, July 28.

Molnar, who is a legal analyst of the Prop 8 case and author of amicus curiae briefs for two cases related to marriage laws in California, will provide attendees with a greater understanding of the legal arguments involved in the challenges to the case.

Molnar is a partner with Manning & Kass, Ellrod, Ramirez, Trester’s San Diego office, where he specializes in the field of workers’ compensation defense. He earned his juris doctorate from The Ohio State University College of Law.

The meeting will also include refreshments and social at 6:30 pm along with other club business. SDDC welcomes everyone to its meetings, noting that membership is not required to attend.

The meeting will be held at the Joyce Beers Community Center, 1220 Cleveland Ave. in the Uptown District Shopping Center in Hillcrest.
