LOS ANGELES -- The Gay, Lesbian & Straight Education Network (GLSEN) is hosting an online auction to raise money for its programs and services that support LGBT students.
Teaming up with charitybuzz.com, auction participants can bid on a number of packages that include access to exclusive parties, unique experiences, celebrities, travel and more.
Founded in 1990, GLSEN is a national organization that focuses on ensuring safe schools for all students.
The organization hopes that those who can will support their work to stop bullying and gain equal rights and tolerance for all by participating in the online auction.
As of Monday morning, high bids on the 23 items in GLSEN's auction ranged from $150 for a limited edition Wells Fargo Bank plush horse to $13,000 for a walk-on role on HBO's hit television series, "True Blood."
Other items include tickets to the 20th Academy Awards Viewing Party hosted by Sir Elton John; an audition for the casting director of "Modern Family" or the casting director of "GLEE;" lunch with Ty Burrell at the Soho House in Los Angeles; and a design consultation with Ross Cassidy and Jeffrey Alan Marks of Bravo's "Million Dollar Decorators."
