WASHINGTON -- Servicemembers Legal Defense Network (SLDN) has announced the date of its highly anticipated annual National Dinner.
Tickets for the 20th anniversary event, to be held Saturday, March 3, 2012, will be sold at a 10% discount if purchased before Dec. 31.
The formal affair typically attracts over 1,300 guests and includes entertainment and an awards presentation. Last year's event included honors given to servicemembers, veterans and pop star Lady Gaga.
With "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" (DADT) finally repealed, SLDN continues its work to ensure that the armed forces are safe for LGBT servicemembers. The organization works on a number of advocacy projects, while providing legal services to servicemembers.
This year's dinner is likely to be particularly celebratory since it will be the organization's first national post-DADT affair.
The event will be held at the National Building Museum, located at 401 F Street NW, in Washington, D.C.
Tickets purchased through the end of this year range from $225 to $2,250, with table captain options available. Prices will go up on Jan. 1.
