Simply by dining out for breakfast, lunch and dinner at participating restaurants on Thursday, you can help raise money to The San Diego LGBT Community Center's HIV/AIDS programs
Special Delivery San Diego, the home-delivered meal service and food pantry serving members of the HIV/AIDS community and others with life-threatening illnesses or experiencing food insecurity, has received an $8,000 donation from Bears San Diego.
The San Diego LGBT Community Center will host a special slate of activities to commemorate the 25th annual AIDS Walk, including a number of changes to the annual fundraiser. This silver anniversary weekend will take place Sept. 27-28.
Research shows that older people with HIV/AIDS are dealing with elevated levels of depression, loneliness and suicidal tendencies, in addition to various co-morbidities or non-AIDS-defining illnesses, such as cardiovascular disease, and kidney or liver failure.
