It Gets Better Project special to air tonight on MTV and Logo networks

The "It Gets Better Project" is coming to a television near you, tonight, Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at 8 pm (PST).

Dan Savage started the "It Gets Better Project" in September of 2010, after a rash of LGBT teen suicides due to bullying began to rock the nation.

He and his partner, Terry Miller, created a single video that quickly grew to over 40,000 videos. The videos have been uploaded from all over the world, and have received over 50 million views overall.

Savage, with the help of both MTV and Logo networks, is now taking his incredibly powerful and successful movement to television.

The program will follow the lives of three LGBT teens. It will target other at-risk teens, to show them lives do get better and the happiness and true potential their own lives can reach, if they can just get past their teenage years.

The 60-minute special will air on both MTV and Logo tonight, at 9 pm, PST.
