SAN DIEGO -- Tickets are now available for Development in Gardening's (DIG) annual San Diego fundraiser, Reap Life, taking place Tuesday, April 10, at Anthology.
Organizers have planned the event to be an "escape from the hustle and bustle of city life" with an evening of gratitude, storytelling, and transformation at one of San Diego's finest music and dining venues.
DIG works to improve the nutrition and health of HIV-affected and at-risk populations through sustainable gardening. Staff and volunteers do this by training people in agriculture and nutrition and providing resources to create projects that empower communities to meet their own needs.
Guests at the fundraiser will get a taste of DIG's work as there will be African art pieces and colorful fabrics throughout the venue, along with cocktails and garden inspired hors d'oeuvres.
For $50 guests can purchase the "Seed Sower" ticket, which includes admission and hors d'oeuvres. The "Home Gardener" ticket is $150 and includes admission, DIG's signature cocktail, a selection of heavy hors d'oeuvres straight from the creative chefs of Anthology, and special recognition during the event as a Home Garden sponsor for a participating DIG family.
Those who are unable to attend or want to regularly support DIG are asked to consider pledging $25 a month or more to the organization for one year. Those who contribute at this level will receive one "Home Gardener" ticket for the event.
