Man charged with hate crime in Nebraska also used fake ID, police say

LINCOLN, Neb. -- The man charged with committing a hate crime outside Club Q early Friday morning also gave Lincoln police a fake ID, according to police records.

Lincoln Police Capt. Jim Davidsaver said Monday that Lucas M. Clifford, 19, 1014 Claremont St., was cited Friday evening on suspicion of possessing an Indiana ID that gave his name as Luke Stevens, 22.

That's the name police released Friday when Officer Katie Flood described the incident outside the gay bar at 226 S. Ninth St.

Teenager accused in hate crime attack in San Francisco
