SAN DIEGO – NBC San Diego did a feature story today on Man Diego, a new fundraiser for Mama’s Kitchen.

Alberto Cortes, executive director of Mama’s Kitchen, spoke with Jason Austell of NBC San Diego about the event, which will be at 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 30, at True North Tavern, 3815 30th St. in North Park.

SAN DIEGO -- Casey Fields has joined the Dining Out for Life San Diego team as coordinator of this year’s volunteers.

The success of Dining Out For Life (DOFL) would not be possible without the scores of people who volunteer as Ambassadors.

Ambassadors are assigned to a participating restaurant, bar or coffee shop (location of their choice) and they invite everyone they know to dine at their location during their shift on the day of the event.

Presidential Dining Experience to benefit Mama's Kitchen

SAN DIEGO – Mama’s Kitchen’s third annual Presidential Dining Experience, hosted by the charity’s board of directors, will be at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 24.

At this event, dubbed “Opposites Attract,” Mama's Kitchen is completely transformed to introduce new supporters and increase awareness of our facility, while raising money in support of the mission of Mama's Kitchen.

AIDS United to develop regional advocacy networks in U.S.

WASHINGTON -- In an effort to mobilize communities on state and federal HIV/AIDS policy issues throughout the U.S., AIDS United plans to develop Regional Advocacy Networks.

The organization has hired grassroots organizer and HIV/AIDS policy advocate Jessica Terlikowski to implement the program.
