WASHINGTON – The Human Rights Campaign has released the third video of the “New Yorkers for Marriage Equality” campaign, which features Jeanne Moutoussamy-Ashe, widow of the tennis great Arthur Ashe.

The campaign raises the public profile of marriage equality in the Empire State leading into this fall’s elections and next year’s anticipated legislative action. The campaign can be viewed online at www.hrc.org/NY4marriage.

Gay marriage gets boost from Wall Street

The AFER is the organization that led the legal battle, led by lawyers Theodore Olson and David Boies, to challenge California’s ban on gay marriage. The Human Rights Campaign’s “New Yorkers for Marriage Equality” was launched online this week as the Empire State heads into this fall’s elections and next year’s anticipated legislative action.

VIDEO: American Bar Association backs marriage equality

WASHINGTON -- The country's largest lawyers' group, the American Bar Association, has stood up in support of same-sex marriage and calls on all state legislatures to let same-sex couples get married.

Gays and lesbians should have the right to marry in civil ceremonies, the ABA’s policy-making House of Delegates has declared. The measure passed on a voice vote.
