President Clinton accepts GLAAD Media Award from daughter Chelsea | VIDEO

LOS ANGELES -- Former President Bill Clinton was honored at the star-studded annual GLAAD Media Awards on Saturday night at the JW Marriott in Downtown Los Angeles.

Clinton received the organization's inaugural Advocate for Change Award from his daughter Chelsea, after speaking to the crowd about his support of equality.

Entertainment attorney Steve Warren also received high honors, and gave a moving acceptance speech.

Student Non-Discrimination Act reintroduced in U.S. House

WASHINGTON – The Human Rights Campaign and Lambda Legal today applauded the introduction of the Student Non-Discrimination Act (SNDA) in the U.S. House of Representatives.

SNDA, which was also introduced in the last Congress, would prohibit discrimination against any public school student on the basis of actual or perceived sexual orientation or gender identity.

San Diego State University to participate in Day of Silence

Members of the San Diego State University community will silently protest against LGBT bullying on the upcoming National Day of Silence, April 19.

"The Day of Silence event is an important event because a lot of LGBTQ harrassment happens in small ways, and we need to protest this silencing effect," said Randall Timm, director of Student Life and Leadership at SDSU.
