The National Organization for Marriage (NOM) is up to its old tricks, as usual.

The non-profit was founded by conservatives in 2007 to fight against marriage equality. Since then, NOM has raised millions and millions of dollars to fund campaigns across the U.S. designed to defeat same-sex marriage, including California’s Proposition 8.

SAN DIEGO -- This was a historic moment for America’s Finest City – a moment where decades of hard work finally paid off.

I presided over the ceremonial groundbreaking of a new state-of-the-art central library, a $185 million centerpiece of learning and civic engagement that will be built without any money from the city’s operating budget.

I couldn’t be prouder of the countless people who have spent so much time and energy on making sure we arrived at this day. Our work will pay dividends for future generations of San Diegans.

We are writing to express how extremely troubled we are that the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA) has not yet been scheduled for a vote by the full House of Representatives. We believe a floor vote must be scheduled for ENDA immediately.
