I grew up with you. I goofed around with you on the playground. I went to your birthday parties and celebrated the holidays with you.

I went to school with you. I joined social clubs with you. I played sports with you. I had your back in school.

I befriended you in college. I served on student government with you. I befriended your wife, and the two you of you gave me the great honor of being your son’s godfather.

Mayor Sanders is right – it’s time to take San Diego to the next level. It's critical that we build on the Mayor's accomplishments and not lose the forward momentum he has created.

Following his eight-vote near miss in the Iowa caucuses, former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum is the man of the hour. Many people have commented on his profoundly conservative views on human sexuality. Santorum has clearly supported making abortion criminal and repealing all same-sex marriages, which he once compared to man on dog sex.

The appalling treatment of a transgender asylum seeker held in U.S. detention has drawn a lawsuit from the ACLU.

The suit is against the federal government, local government and Corrections Corporation of America (CCA) and charges that they failed to protect Tanya Guzman-Martinez from sexual violence, assault and other mistreatment.
