Wide-eyed auto addicts and vehicle-viewing enthusiasts are getting ready to stop traffic in the heart of the historic Gaslamp Quarter for this year’s Fifth Avenue Auto Showcase. Whether it’s vintage motorcycles, European exotics, or American legends that satisfy your car-centric senses, these vehicles carry the body and style that will trump all other entertainment this Sunday, October 9th.

Presented by the Keating Hotel, this third annual event rolls onto Fifth Avenue from E to K Street from 11am to 4pm, pulling out all the classic and modern car parts that please. And, as a new addition to the vehicle valor, the Mopar Club of San Diego and The East County Cruisers will be revving up to present their best and brightest, showcasing award-winning vintage vehicles and movie cars.

Those interested in flaunting their own cars are encouraged to apply for entry by sending in an application, photo, and a $50 fee, in return for lunch at a Gaslamp restaurant and a flock of car-crazy fans. Proceeds go to the Gaslamp Quarter Association’s Holiday Lighting Program, lighting up the entertainment district’s streets from November to December. Participants can also vote for this year’s People’s Choice Award.
