Sunday fun-day just got a little funner!

Top of the Park is now having a weekly Sunday Tea Dance and BBQ with new expanded hours from 1 to 8 pm, all summer long until Labor Day.

Specials include $5 burgers and hot dogs with chips and $3 well drinks, plus high energy music by DJ Jay Brannon.

Perhaps best of all, there's no cover. What with the panoramic view of the city from up there, there's probably no nicer place to spend a sunny summer day with friends.

It's also the perfect spot for viewing 4th of July fireworks, which as you know will be coming up this Wednesday!

4th of July

Yes, it falls on a Wednesday this year. As such, I'm just going to consider this to be a five-day weekend, beginning on Friday!

I'm particularly looking forward to this Tuesday, when Brass Rail will play host to a special Pre 4th of July Extravaganza sponsored by Club Papi. And while I think it's nice they are offering a free California Lottery scratcher to the first 250 through the door, and I appreciate the music by DJ LP and the fact that the night will be hosted by Alejandra, lets face it: The main reason I'll be there is for the Club Papi dancers.

See the flier on the left; I got a wallet full of $1s ready to go, plus a couple $5s for the guy in the guy in the white on the far right.

And then on 4th of July itself, besides Top of the Park mentioned above, I know many boys will be going to Blacks Beach to hang out during the day. See you there!

Pride video pool party shoot

The Dance Again Pride Music Video featuring Davina Kostiana Love is an upcoming "digital Love Letter to San Diego Pride and the famed nightlife America's Finest has to offer."

Directed by Sean Paul Lockhart (aka Brent Corrigan) and shot at several local bars and clubs over the past few weeks, the project is now nearing completion. Only one major scene remains to be shot, that of a large dance party at the "Kougar Kanyon" pool of Rich's manager Ryan Bedrosian.

Davina is looking for a LOT of extras for this final scene, as they need to fill the whole area with festive pool partiers. If interested, check out the event page here and/or contact Davina here. The video is scheduled to be released on July 20, just in time for Pride weekend.
