Super Bowl weekend is here! This means Super Bowl parties, and the local gay clubs will have them aplenty this Sunday!

Here’s a roundup of where you can go to hang out with friends and fellow fans and catch the big game:

10 am: Super Bowl Sunday at Urban Mo’s – “For the Half Time Show, the moment half of Hillcrest has been waiting for, Beyonce and the Destiny's Child REUNION will transform Urban Mo's into "The Greatest Show In Hillcrest"!”

The world’s most famous professor is back onstage at The Old Globe, making a princess out of a flower girl and proving once again that a great story is timeless.

The Old Globe celebrates the 100th anniversary of George Bernard Shaw’s “Pygmalion” with this sparkling production directed by newly named Old Globe Associate Artist Nicholas Martin.

Over the weekend, the issue of straight women visiting our local gay bars and clubs and misbehaving flared up again.

The subject is apparently a hot-button issue in the nightlife community. A few months ago, I wrote about the decision by the Abbey in West Hollywood to ban bachelorette parties, and the numerous comments I received did not provide the bachelorettes with a whole lot of sympathy.

Actors are such easy targets for comedy. Here are people who lie for a living and then ask you to love them.

Playwright Ken Ludwig (whose “Moon Over Buffalo” and “Lend Me A Tenor” have been seen locally) picks on his favorite targets again – this time a couple of down-on-their-luck Shakespearean thesps – and puts them in dresses in his 2004 farce “Leading Ladies.”

“Leading Ladies,” a sort of “Some Like It Hot” meets “Twelfth Night,” plays through Feb. 3 at Moonlight Stage Productions’ Avo Playhouse, directed by Christopher Williams.
