Some residents not happy with city's ease on sidewalk café regulations

The sound of waves crashing on the sand and birds squawking outside the window are not the only noises that residents of See the Sea Condominiums and guests at the Crystal Pier Hotel and Cottages hear at night.

They also hear the yells, laughs, and a kick-drum beating its way into the street from the 710 Beach Club on Garnet Avenue in Pacific Beach.

SAN DIEGO -- More than 50 restaurants, breweries and retailers will be a part of a self-guided culinary adventure in Hillcrest on April 20, when the Hillcrest Business Association (HBA) hosts the 13th annual Taste of Hillcrest. The four-hour event runs from noon to 4 pm and boasts cuisine from more than 40 restaurants, including Crest Cafe, Baja Betty’s, Nami Sushi and Urban Mo’s Bar & Grill.
