SAN DIEGO -- Popular Hillcrest nightclub Rich's has joined in the "Harlem Shake" craze, which has taken Social Media by storm over the last couple of weeks.

Staff of the nightclub created their own video version of the dance, which features some of the club's go-go dancers, staff and friends letting loose in a backyard pool.

Karma continues to smile on Hillcrest DJ John Joseph. His growing popularity has gotten some nice out-of-town gigs lately, including Angel Bonilla’s WTF Military Party up at the Shark Club in Orange County this Friday, and then later next month he’s off to Hula’s in Waikiki, Hawaii (nice!), to spin their big Spring Break Blackout Underwear Party.

SAN DIEGO -- On the year of its 30th anniversary, Hillcrest's Crest Cafe is getting a lot of attention. Not only did the popular diner install an already iconic mural on a vacant outside wall, it has received recognition from customers, the media and San Diego City Council President Todd Gloria.

SAN DIEGO -- “Jekyll or Hyde,” the first single from Shara Strand’s "Born Tonight" album, is a song she wrote about falling for a guy who, at least in the beginning, appeared to be Mr. Right. In time, however, another side surfaced, and Strand realized he was oh, so wrong.

“It’s a story everyone can relate to,” she said. “I’ve learned getting 50% of the love I want is not enough. The love of my life will give me 100%.”
