Join the Women’s Resource Center and local LBT women for a day-long festival of workshops, entertainment and resources.

This year’s festival will focus on the D.I.Y. movement, which empowers individuals to take matters into their own hands for artistic expression, home repairs, self-publication, community building, transportation and more. Last year, Women’s Fest featured 15 workshops and more than 30 women-friendly vendors and community partners.

GRAND OPENING: There's a brand spankin' new ladies night in town! Rapture will come to The Flame (3780 Park Blvd) on Saturday nights.

Created by Marie Cash, Sade Wiley-Gatewood, La Keysa Summerset and Ella Jones in an effort to bring the ladies party back to the historic Flame. The inaugural RAPTURE event will be Saturday, April 30, 2011.

Special guest DJ Angie Vee and DJ Les spin hip hop, house, mashups , and old school.
