With the primary election nearing, we wanted to zoom in on Patricia A. Washington, Ph.D., a candidate for California Assembly District 79. The district currently consists of 15% of San Diego County, including Coronado, National City, Imperial Beach, the Mission Valley and College areas, Lemon Grove, a part of Bonita, and over 62% of Chula Vista.

Camille Bloom initially taught high school English full-time and also played solo gigs at night. She decided six and a half years ago to focus on her talents as a singer/songwriter and musician full-time and left her teaching career. Proceeds go to Stepping Stone’s exemplary alcohol/drug recovery and HIV/AIDS services as well as to the agency’s campaign for a women’s sober living program.
