SAN DIEGO -- NBC San Diego is reporting a death downtown in close proximity to the Occupy San Diego protests.

A man died after falling from the top of the San Diego Concourse parking structure at the San Diego Civic Center during the protest around 3:30 pm, Monday afternoon.

San Diego police have ruled the fall a suicide.

Investigators believe the person may have jumped from the top floor of the multi-level parking structure, and landed near a fountain in front of the doors to Golden Hall.

Police have not confirmed if the person was actually part of the protest.
