SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- A young man suffered critical injuries this morning after he was stabbed during an argument near a midtown Sacramento nightclub, according to police.
The victim, in his early 20s, was in critical condition at one point but appears to have improved, said police Sgt. Andrew Pettit.
The man was leaving Faces nightclub, located at 20th and K streets, about 2 a.m. when he got into an argument with an unknown person in a nearby parking lot, according to a police report.
The suspect then stabbed the victim multiple times before fleeing. The victim was described as Asian or Hispanic and 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall, the police report states.
The corner is populated by several gay and lesbian establishments. However, Pettit said there is no indication the stabbing was a hate crime.
