Mission Hills to come alive with garden and art walks on May 7

SAN DIEGO – Grab your friends and/or kiddos this Saturday as the Mission Hills Business Improvement District presents Mission Hills Alive!, a series of family-friendly neighborhood, all-day events.

The events lined up for this Saturday include the Mission Hills Garden Walk, "A Stroll Down Sunset Boulevard" from 10 am to 4 pm. Garden décor and food will be available to purchase as well as a wine reception at Mission Hills Nursery from 3 to 4:30pm.

Adult tickets for the Garden Walk and wine reception are $25 in advance, $30 the day of the event, and children under 12 are admitted free. Tickets may be purchased online at the Mission Hills Garden Club website or at Mission Hills Nursery, Andersen's Nursery or Cedros Gardens.

The Mission Hills Artists Art Walk, in the 1600 block of West Lewis Street, will be from 11 am to 5 pm with participating local businesses offering food, drinks, special promotions and discounts throughout the day. A historic Class 1 streetcar will be on display at the event on West Lewis Street.
