Last call for San Diego Pride volunteer registration

SAN DIEGO -- The annual San Diego LGBT Pride celebration - "America's Pride" - is just two weeks away and volunteers are still needed to help make the event a success. As one of the largest such events in the country, the San Diego Pride organization counts on an army of volunteers to make the parade, festival and other events a reality.

Volunteers are needed in a number of areas, including:

- Safety

- Recycling

- Sales and merchandise

- Transportation and communications

- Parade staging

- Exhibitor relations

Not only do Pride volunteers get to help produce the event, but they receive a number of additional benefits, including free two-day admission to the festival; a commemorative America's Pride T-shirt; a free meal for every five-hour shift worked; and eligibility for the Volunteers Rewards Program Opportunity Drawing.

The last day to register to volunteer is Saturday, July 7.

To register as a volunteer, click HERE or contact Cheli Mohamed at cheli@sdpride.org or (619) 297-7683 ext. 111.

San Diego Pride will take place July 20-22. More information is available HERE.
