North Park Community Association elects new board members

SAN DIEGO -- The North Park Community Association (NCPA) elected officers and were updated on a number of important neighborhood issues, including battling graffiti, a citizens law enforcement patrol and this year’s Bird Park Summer Concert Series at its annual board meeting, held April 24 at Queen Bee’s Art & Cultural Center, 3925 Ohio St.

TUESDAY: City Councilmember Mark Kersey to address Hillcrest Town Council

SAN DIEGO -- This month, we're excited to welcome San Diego City Councilmember Mark Kersey to Hillcrest Town Council. While it's true that Councilmember Kersey represents District 5 - an area that does not include Hillcrest - he is also the chair of the newly-formed city council Infrastructure Committee, tasked with figuring out how to tackle our City's extensive backlog of maintenance projects.

Mel B, Spice Girl and a new judge on "America's Got Talent," presented international pop star Adam Lambert with the Davidson/Valentini Award Saturday night at the 24th annual GLAAD Media Awards in San Francisco. Lambert was also the co-recipient of the award for Outstanding Music Artist for his album Trespassing; he tied with Frank Ocean for Ocean's debut album Channel Orange. Gay Men's Chorus of Los Angeles to honor "American Idol" at Voice Awards

The hit television show "American Idol" will be among the honorees at this year's event, which turns the spotlight on leaders who use their own voices to affect and advance social change.

OUT at Universal Studios party to be held during LA Pride

LOS ANGELES -- This LA Pride, Masterbeat and Tom Whitman present the first-ever OUT at Universal – a gay day and night at Universal Studios Hollywood theme park.

Taking place Saturday, June 8, Universal Studios Hollywood theme park will close for the general public at 9 m and remain open exclusively for OUT at Universal guests until 1 am.

Gay couple to host fundraiser to give breast implants to transgender singer | VIDEO

SAN FRANCISCO -- Gay couple Will Lenker and James Spinello are no strangers to throwing a fabulous party. This time, however, the owners of Stuff, a vintage modern collective in the Mission District of San Francisco, are hosting a bash for a great cause: breasts.

Lenker and Spinello are on a quest to help their employee Breanna Sinclaire, a transgender in the process of transition, raise money for breast implants.
