SAN DIEGO -- This weekend brings the final run of Diversionary Cabaret's "The Facts Of Life: The Lost Episode," a campy romp through a wide-eyed and racy, but laugh-out-loud funny, "lost episode" version of the beloved 1980s sitcom of the same name.

The stage play kicks the insanity of the show up about a hundred notches, with the premise being the girls open a brothel to save their beloved dorm house.

Currently, the Federal government won’t allow gay and lesbian couples to marry, but same-sex registered domestic partners are required to file taxes as if they were, one of the little-known recent changes to IRS tax codes that have left many in a state of confusion.

In the eight years that Connor Maddocks has been in San Diego, he has become a well known figure around town. Aside from the volunteer work he does for the transgender community, and organizations like San Diego LGBT Pride, he also works full time at The Center.

Maddocks is 58 years old, single, and hails from Natick, Mass.

What organization(s) do you volunteer for, and why?

I volunteer for The Center mainly, because the work we do here is so important and helpful to the entire community.

Nature loves variety. Unfortunately, society hates it.

It is highly likely that you have passed a transgender person on the street, at the grocery store, in the bank, at the gym, and, yes, even in a public restroom, without even knowing that that person was transgender.

A transgender person is not just a clone of another transgender person. He or she is different and unique, just as is every other person.

Transgender people are those who transgress gender norms of society by attempting to transition into the correct gender of which they should have been born.
