ST. LOUIS -- A board member of a Catholic nonprofit organization who was told he could not become board president because he is gay is trying to rally support to modify the group's rules.

Jeffrey Goldone, who has been a vice president on the Society of St. Vincent de Paul of St. Louis board of directors for five years, was nominated for president in May. He accepted the nomination but was dropped from the running several weeks later.

Fruit Fly in the City: A straight girl trying to make it in a gay world

Most women would kill to wake up with four gorgeous men in their bed. Lucky for me, I've had the opportunity.

Yes, I said it. Now, the fact that all of the men are gay may put a damper on my fabulous escapade. None of them would touch me with a 10-foot pole. Most of them would rather make out with big hairy men (referred to as "bears") over me.

But I can enjoy a moment in the arms of my moodle (man poodle) while my other moodle is spooning me. Aaaahhh! So nice!

David Feiling, helping the community one body and one style at a time

SAN DIEGO -- There are two self-indulging expenses capable of eliciting feelings of immense satisfaction: a great haircut, and a relaxing, stress-relieving massage.

During a downturn in the economy, however, these services may seem like an unnecessary financial splurge on something born out of desire rather than need. If obtained at the type of place that also features multiple steam rooms, hot tub, and saunas, that may be true, but not if you visit a local, independently owned salon.

AUNT JOHNNY: Trying to find a gay bear in a comic book haystack … but running into Angelina Jolie

Betty White has a rather unhealthy obsession with collecting comic books -- in case you weren't aware.

More specifically, she likes an obscure genre of comic books about gay bears that fight crime using bedazzled broomsticks and have an endearing affection for kittens. I know. It doesn't make sense to me either. So she dragged me out to San Diego to the Comic-Con convention - the world's largest comic book/sci-fi/action adventure/koo-koo-for-cocoa-puffs convention of its kind.

Canadians and Britons are more accepting of same-sex couples than Americans

A comprehensive three-country survey on attitudes towards homosexuality reveals that Canadians and Britons are more inclined to support the legal recognition of same-sex couples than Americans.

The online survey of representative national samples of 1,003 Canadian adults, 1,002 American adults and 1,980 British adults shows that younger generations are clearly more accepting of same-sex relations. However, the poll also confirms that younger Americans — born between 1980 and 1995 — are more conservative than their Canadian and British counterparts in all matters related to homosexuality.

Aunt Johnny baking Lindsay Lohan a cake, and snorting it too

"Sarah, you need to calm yourself down, Love-Biscuit. We both know that it's impossible to extinguish the burning brush of young love. If Levi and Bristol are determined to make a go of their relationship, no amount of campaigning to the contrary will make a difference," I said to Sarah Palin on speaker phone while I cracked eggs into my cake batter.

I was baking a cake for Lindsay Lohan. She really loves my Red Velvet Surprise - the surprise being a delicious center filling of Ghiradelli's chocolate and Adderall.

This weekend is ours: Tips on how to make Pride fun, comfortable and safe

San Diego Pride is here, and finally, I am excited.

This weekend is ours. It is the one time of year where we celebrate everything gay - and turn Hillcrest into one giant rainbow mess. Everything from the rally, parade and festival, to the parties, bars, clubs, and chance encounters, all are exciting in their own way.

To me, Pride is like the Gay New Years. All avenues point towards Pride, and so much of life is dictated by “pre-Pride” and “post-Pride.”

Aunt Johnny gets into a wedding day "Situation"

I think we can all agree that I'm one who prefers to blend into the background. I don't need the spotlight. The spotlight, it appears, needs me though - and my altruistic nature succumbs to the call more often than I'd prefer, to be perfectly frank.
