SAN DIEGO -- If you're hankering for some Gay Pride festivities but just can't seem to wait for Pride weekend to finally arrive, don your most fetching bow tie and head to the party that will kick off Pride a week early.

The Women's Resource Center will be throwing Red Hot Babes & Bow Ties, a women's nightclub event, from 6 to 9 pm on Saturday, July 9, at The Center in Hillcrest.

DJ Muse will be there, spinning favorite hits. Enjoy dancing, mingling, snacks and more, for $5 per person. There will even be an award (two free drinks) to the owner of the best bow tie.
