MESQUITE, Texas — A Texas woman claims she is the victim of a hate crime after she was attacked in an elementary school playground for protecting a bullied 4-year-old boy.

The attack left Sondra Scarber, 27, with a shattered jaw that’s been wired shut, and a is badly swollen and bruised face.

“I can’t do anything for myself,” she said through tears.

PHOENIX, Ariz. – Activist and entertainer Austin Head, who was gay-bashed last year in Phoenix, says that justice is being served on the two men who were arrested in the unprovoked attack.

Restaurant pays $25,000 to LGBT patron after violent anti-gay attack

NEW YORK - Lambda Legal client Liza Friedlander, who was violently attacked while trying to dine with friends at a Forest Hills restaurant owned by defendant Waroge Met, Ltd., doing business as Sizzler Restaurant 0489, recently recovered $25,000 in a lawsuit filed in Queens County in 2011.

The court entered a judgment against the defendant Sizzler Restaurant 0489 and its manager, defendant Edgar Orellana, after those defendants offered to allow judgment to be taken against them.
