anti-LGBT bullying

It Gets Better Project special to air tonight on MTV and Logo networks

The "It Gets Better Project" is coming to a television near you, tonight, Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at 8 pm (PST).

Dan Savage started the "It Gets Better Project" in September of 2010, after a rash of LGBT teen suicides due to bullying began to rock the nation.

He and his partner, Terry Miller, created a single video that quickly grew to over 40,000 videos. The videos have been uploaded from all over the world, and have received over 50 million views overall.

SDGLN Poll: Most readers have endured anti-gay bullying

SAN DIEGO – A supermajority of readers of San Diego Gay & Lesbian News who took our poll say that they have experienced anti-LGBT bullying.

Our poll question was: Have you ever faced anti-LGBT bullying?

The results, which are not scientific, reveal that 84% of readers say that they have been bullies because of their sexual orientation, while 15% say they have not.

The SDGLN Reader Poll is open for voting for seven consecutive days. A new poll question will debut each Monday.
