ONE Gallery & Museum presents "Joey Terrill" exhibit May 18 to Aug. 25

WEST HOLLYWOOD, Calif. -- ONE National Gay & Lesbian Archives presents a retrospective exhibition of work by Los Angeles-based queer Chicano artist Joey Terrill covering five decades of the artist's work including paintings, drawings and artist publications.

"Joey Terrill" runs from May 18 to Aug. 25 at the ONE Archives Gallery & Museum, 626 N. Robertson Blvd., West Hollywood, CA 90069. The opening reception is from 5-8 pm Saturday, May 18.

RAW: natural born artists event to be held Thursday evening

SAN DIEGO -- The next RAW San Diego art event will take place Thursday, April 18 from 7-11 pm at Block No. 16 Union & Spirits.

The mission of the RAW events is is to provide independent artists within the first 10 years of their career with the tools, resources and exposure needed to inspire and cultivate creativity.

Queer Artist Project comes to life at Lambda Archives

SAN DIEGO -- With the new exhibition space and expanded room at the Lambda Archives location as incentive, staff and volunteers have picked up a documentation project that began almost 10 years ago. Called the Queer Artist Project, they are collecting and organizing information to acknowledge the contribution artists have given to the LGBT community.

VIDEO: La Jolla Art & Wine Festival to raise money for local schools

LA JOLLA, Calif. -- The streets of downtown La Jolla will be filled with art next weekend, as the fourth annual La Jolla Art & Wine Festival returns on Oct. 13-14.

The free event, which is open to the public, will feature works from established artists from San Diego, Los Angeles, Orange County, Baja California and beyond.

Revivals to host art show Saturday

SAN DIEGO -- Revivals San Diego will present its "Art Show 3" on Saturday, June 30, featuring the work of local artist Ray Diaz.

Community members are invited to visit the Hillcrest store between 6-9 pm to view Diaz' work and enjoy the show.

Revivals is a resale store which benefits the programs of the Desert AIDS Project, which provides services to people living with HIV/AIDS in the Palm Springs and San Diego areas. The chain of stores has several locations in the desert area and one store in San Diego.

North Park's Art Produce gallery presents "Eat Here Now"
