ACTION ALERT: Help Being Alive San Diego win Chase grant

SAN DIEGO -- Being Alive HIV/AIDS Services has a chance to win a grant from Chase Community Giving Fund.

Supporters of Being Alive San Diego are urged to go online and vote.

“The deadline is Sept 19 so please take a moment to vote,” said Shannon Wagner, executive director.

Supporters can go online HERE and look for the vote button and then do a search for Being Alive. It takes about 30 seconds to vote and if you share the giving fund you can receive an extra vote.

Help local charities on Chick-fer-gAy Appreciation Day on Aug. 20

SAN DIEGO – Leave it to the LGBT community to find an innovative way to turn a chicken sandwich controversy into a celebrated cause.

With the fury over Chick-fil-A’s president Dan Cathy giving millions of dollars to anti-gay causes, LGBT Americans can fight back by donating cash to local charities that serve our community.

Being Alive San Diego is offered $30,000 matching contribution

SAN DIEGO -- Being Alive San Diego, which has provided life-saving services to San Diegans living with HIV and AIDS for over 20 years, has recently received a $30,000 matching gift from two of the organization's supporters.

The organization, which has struggled over the years due to government funding cuts, hopes community members will step up and help reach the matching donation goal so Being Alive can continue its tradition of providing high-quality services to those most in need.

Funding crisis strikes San Diego groups helping people living with HIV/AIDS

SAN DIEGO -- The Four Friends, a group of non-profit organizations that provide a number of services to people living with HIV/AIDS, will hold a sidewalk sale fundraiser on Saturday, April 30.

The Four Friends are Being Alive San Diego, Special Delivery, Stepping Stone and Townspeople.

The sidewalk sale is a first step to generate money for the four organizations since government funding has been cut, which threatens the important services that these organizations provide.
