The romantic comedy “Love Or Whatever” will likely be an audience favorite at FilmOut San Diego’s 15th annual LGBT Film Festival, when the lesbian-directed movie is featured as the Boys Centerpiece on Friday, May 31 at the Birch.

UPDATED: FilmOut San Diego "thinks big" for 15th annual LGBT Film Festival

SAN DIEGO – Look, up in the sky, it’s a bird, it’s a plane … no, it’s billboards of the kind you’ve never seen before in San Diego.

Starting today, three billboards celebrating FilmOut San Diego’s 15th annual LGBT Film Festival will be on display for the next month along University Avenue in North Park and Hillcrest.

FilmOut selling “Early Bird VIP All-Access Pass” to film festival for a limited time

SAN DIEGO – FilmOut San Diego will be selling an “Early Bird VIP All-Access Pass” to the 15th annual LGBT Film Festival today through April 30.

The special price is $99, a 45% savings from individual purchases to attend all films and parties.

San Diego Gay and Lesbian News broke the news about this year’s film festival by publishing the “Ultimate guide to 2013 FilmOut San Diego LGBT Film Festival”, including movie trailers and photos.

SAN DIEGO -- As part of its 15th anniversary celebration, FilmOut San Diego today announced the 35 feature films and shorts that will be shown at the LGBT Film Festival from May 29 to June 2 at the historic Birch North Park Theater.

SAN DIEGO – Four classic movies by legendary filmmaker Alfred Hitchcock will be shown Saturday at the historical Birch North Park Theater.

FilmOut San Diego, as part of its 15th anniversary, will be presenting the Hitchcock Marathon in light of renewed interest in the master of horror following the Nov. 1, 2012 release of "Hitchcock," a biographical drama directed by Sacha Gervasi and starring Anthony Hopkins and Helen Mirren.

San Diego Gay Men's Chorus concerts to benefit Mama's Kitchen

SAN DIEGO -- The San Diego Gay Men’s Chorus (SDGMC) has selected Mama’s Kitchen as its 2013 spring concert community partner.

Audience members attending “Rocket Man – The Music of Elton John” will be asked to deposit their donation during intermission in the chorus’s iconic giant ruby slipper in the theater lobby.

The concert takes place on April 13 and 14 at the Birch North Park Theatre.

SAN DIEGO – “Moulin Rouge,” voted No. 1 in a survey of movies that FilmOut festival audiences wanted most to see, will be screened at 7 pm Wednesday, Feb. 20, at Birch North Park Theater.

The 2001 musical stars Nicole Kidman, Ewan McGregor and John Leguizamo in a lavish production set in the Montmarte Quarter of Paris, famous for its bawdy nightlife.

The film, directed by Baz Luhrmann and written by Lurhrmann and Craig Pearce, was nominated for eight Academy Awards, including Best Picture and Best Actress (Kidman). It won only two Oscars: Best Art Direction and Best Costume Design.
