SAN FRANCISCO -- The National LGBT Bar Association will honor Equality California interim executive director Laurie Hasencamp with its 2012 Ally for Justice Award.

She will receive the award at the American Bar Association annual meeting in Chicago on Aug. 3.

“Laurie is a tireless and passionate advocate on behalf of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community,” said Clarissa Figioun, Equality California board president. “This award is fitting recognition of that work and we congratulate her on this well-deserved honor.”
