PALM SPRINGS -- So far we've shown you the comedy, the kick-off with a Pussy Cat Doll, the star-studded red carpets, the revelers all decked out in white, and celesbians dodging balls thrown by their fans.

We also shared San Diego women enjoying the desert sun, Saturday pool partiers and the legendary Chaka Khan.

PALM SPRINGS -- Thank you for following our walk through the weekend in fabulous Palm Springs.

Continuing on … after meeting up at the Hyatt on Palm Canyon Drive for a quick drink with friends who'd just arrived from San Diego that afternoon, we made our way over to the Palm Springs Convention Center for an unexpected Red Carpet with Chaka Khan.

This was a blissful surprise because previously we had no indication she'd be doing any press.

Saturday, March 31, was a big day at the Riviera Resort and Spa pool. Doors opened at 9 am and the event was sponsored by MTV/Logo and AfterEllen.

PALM SPRINGS -- We continue on with The Dinah 2012 Wrap, with Friday night, March 30, 2012 laid out in front of us.

Pool-goers beat-feet pretty early Friday afternoon, to get ready for the big evening ahead (see photo at left). And what a night it was! After a relaxing day of mass check-ins and lounging around the pool, the evening started out with something completely different for Dinah veterans.

PALM SPRINGS -- It’s that time of year again, when we book our hotel rooms, pack up our best bikinis and head out to Palm Springs, the one and only Dinah Shore event of the season.

Whether it’s helping Chaka Khan get through the fire, clamoring to see the L Word cast face-to-face, or looking to fly high with Nina Sky, lesbians from all walks of life join together in celebration of all things dyke, lesbian and stud.

But it’s the girl-on-girl action in which we hold our highest hopes.

It's been 22 years since my first Dinah Shore Weekend production.

I was obviously much younger, and clearly wet behind the ears, but I was determined to elevate this small lesbian weekend centered around the Dinah Shore Golf Tournament to new heights.
