PGK Dance performs "San Diego Dances" this weekend

SAN DIEGO -- PGK Dance Project will present "San Diego Dances" in University Heights on Friday and Saturday, March 15-16.

The dance company is headed by Peter G. Kalivas.

"San Diego Dances" will be at 7:30 pm March 15-16 in 3rd Space, a funky, multi-level loft at 4610 Park Blvd. in University Heights. Advance tickets are $20; $15 for students, military and seniors. Tickets cost $5 more at the door.

The show will feature world premieres by Natasha Ridley, Viviana Alcazar and Peter G. Kalivas with guest musicians performing new music by Amanuel Zarzowski.

PGK Dance Project to sponsor workshop March 1-3

SAN DIEGO -- PGK Dance Project will hold a workshop for dancers March 1-3, followed by "San Diego Dances" in University Heights March 15-16.

Leading the workshop will be Peter G. Kalivas, a former original dancer of Sean Curran Company, The Jamison Project, a member of Ailey II, The Pearl Lang Dance Theater/NYC and The Iwanson Dance Company in Munich, Germany.

Friday's workshop will be from 6 to 9 pm.

Saturday and Sunday workshops will be from 10 am to 1 pm.

PGK Dance Project to preview Central American performance on Black Friday

SAN DIEGO –– The PGK Dance Project, under the leadership of artistic director Peter G. Kalivas, will give a preview of its performance at an international dance festival in Central America on Black Friday.

The two-program performance will be at 1:15 pm Friday, Nov. 23, in the dance troupe’s studio at the Culture Shock Dance Center, 2010 Hancock Street, Suite 200. A donation of $5 can be made at the door or HERE.
