Today is Saturday and it is a hot and blustery day here in Palm Springs. No matter, the ladies who have converged here will enjoy themselves, regardless. But let's talk about last night, shall we?

If you read along yesterday, you know Azul kept us hostage for a great part of the afternoon. I ran into Fortune Feimster there, who along with two friends were taking advantage of Azul's fun wooden swing tables. I asked her to stop following me!

Anyone who is familiar with Fortune Feimster and her comedy would not expect her to be off running around on a soccer field, but that is exactly what she does on a weekly basis.

In fact, one recent evening while chatting with San Diego Gay & Lesbian News, she was on her way to take the field with her weekly Los Angeles team, Gays R Us.

"Yeah, I like to act like I'm 12," she said.

PALM SPRINGS -- As the countdown to the end of March continues, more and more activities are being added for this year's Club Skirts Presents The Dinah, the largest lesbian event in the world, happening right in San Diego's favorite backyard, Palm Springs.

The latest exciting event to be added is an hour long "up close and personal" question and answer session with Meredith Baxter, hosted by veteran lesbian comedian, Suzanne Westenhoefer.

SAN DIEGO – If you are a child of the '60s or better yet, a dye-in-the-wool baby boomer, you are about to get a huge helping of your upbringing, served up with a little celebrity couture on the side. Dead celebrities, that is.

This weekend, Sirius XM's Out-Q radio host, “flamboyant” movie critic, pop culture columnist and author Frank DeCaro will be sashaying into Babette Schwartz’s to serve up his latest book, "The Dead Celebrity Cookbook."
