SAN DIEGO -- Eden just finalized its star-studded Pride weekend lineup. Liberty Pride will feature extended hours on the patio and at Ciro’s Pizza, along with an extensive schedule of events Thursday though Sunday.

To accommodate the extra crowds, the currently closed restaurant will temporarily re-open. The space will be used as a lounge area with additional bar setup throughout Pride; it will also offer a happy hour and a Ciro’s menu, and a buffet brunch on both Saturday and Sunday from 10 am to 2 pm.

Pool party season is upon us, and there's no better sign of this than the first Guys Like Us (GLU) Pool Party of 2012, coming up July 14 at a private estate in Mission Hills.

These GLU parties have traditionally been some of the best and most eagerly anticipated pool parties locally. You can view photos from some of the previous events here. Fundraisers for their AIDS Walk team, the GLU has raised thousands of dollars for the cause over the years.

SAN DIEGO -- Bigger is always better - especially when it comes to hair. Customers at Eden tonight are encouraged to wear their best wigs tonight, for the nightclub's first ever "Wig Party," presented by SDPIX.

The event, which will include music by DJ Schoeny, will include a wig contest with over $1,000 in cash and prizes for the best entries. Participants can wear any type of wig, the only requirement is that the hair on the contestants head does not belong to them.

Free SDPIX memberships will also be available throughout the night.

Mo’s Universe welcomes new chef, Sean Magee, who will oversee the menus at Gossip Grill, Urban Mo’s, Baja Betty’s and the upcoming Hillcrest Brewing Company, due to open June 8. Magee helmed the kitchen at Proper Pub downtown after working for Urban Solace and the Grant Grill. “He has great energy and he’ll bring a lot to all four restaurants,” said Chris Shaw, founder and owner of Mo’s Universe. The position opened recently after Gossip Grill Chef Mary Jo Testa left to launch a restaurant in Italy. Magee said most of his changes will materialize by fall.
