VIDEO: San Diego Ambassadors of the Trevor Project to host pep rally Thursday

SAN DIEGO -- With school back in session and football season on, it's time for a pep rally!

The San Diego Ambassadors of The Trevor Project will host a "Pep Rally for Trevor!" on Thursday, Sept. 22, from 7 to 10 pm at Eden to celebrate the organization's life-saving efforts.

Event organizers are hoping that community members will come out and support their group, which works year round to raise support, funding and awareness of The Trevor Project.

This Saturday, the gays will be taking over Mission Beach once again! Russ Edra, Tyler Helble and Colin Wood are bringing us another Reclaim Summer party at the Wavehouse, the last one planned for 2011.

Just like the last one, the big outdoor section is being used, including the wave machine! The fun goes from 3 to 10 pm, and cover is only $10.

Eden relaunches restaurant on Tuesday, as new chef debuts new menu

SAN DIEGO --- Eden, one of Hillcrest’s top nightlife and dining destinations, will premiere its revamped restaurant on Tuesday, June 21, along with the return of Ciro’s Pizzeria.

Under the management and direction of NightLifeSD, led by David Laurent, Eden has been undergoing a structural facelift and overhauling the menu. Eden and popular Chef Scotty Wagner parted company a while ago.

SDGLN EXCLUSIVE: Eden to transform into Oz during Pride weekend

SAN DIEGO -- San Diego Gay & Lesbian News has just learned that Eden San Diego will convert into the Emerald City during San Diego Pride weekend.

Rob Corea, creative director for the Hillcrest destination club and restaurant, says Eden's Wicked Pride theme will be in force from Friday, July 15, through Sunday, July 17.

"We're going all the way and will feature a yellow brick road and emerald decor throughout the venue," Corea said.

Big changes coming to Eden's restaurant on June 21

SAN DIEGO -- One of Hillcrest's most popular nightlife and dining spots, Eden, is having a "Madonna moment" as the relatively new venue prepares to reinvent itself, particularly in the restaurant portion of the space.

Eden's restaurant opened last October, with the full nightlife complex opening to much fanfare in January, after the property sat vacant for nearly a year due to the abrupt closure of Universal in January, 2010.

SAN DIEGO – Hillcrest’s upscale restaurant and nightclub Eden will no longer utilize the services of Chef Scotty Wagner to provide its food service.

David Laurent, head of Nightlife SD and Eden’s owner, officially made the announcement today. The popular chef has already departed the premises.
