Scott Herman's Getting Fit VIDEO: Standing cable double bicep curl

Although the curling "motion" is the same, a standing bicep curl is definitely a sure way to switch up your routine for great results.

Changing the plane of motion will force you to still activate your biceps, but also some different muscles during the exercise.

For example, if you have never done this before, you might feel very unstable around your shoulders, so start off light and maintain control throughout the entire movement.




Chula Vista mayor to preside over ribbon-cutting for grand opening of lesbian-owned gym

CHULA VISTA, Calif. -- Mayor Cheryl Cox will perform the official ribbon-cutting at the grand opening of a lesbian-owned business.

Mayor Cox will preside over the ceremony marking the opening of Fierce CrossFit Gym, 861 Harold Place, Suite 211, Chula Vista, CA 91914.

The grand opening will run from 10 am to 2 pm Saturday, March 23 at the gym.

Another great year at the Arnold Classic! Once again I spent the entire weekend at the BSN booth.

Our booth was much bigger than last year and we had a lot more fun stuff going on too! I was honored to spend each day meeting new Hermanites and seeing gains from those of you who came by the booth last year.

The Arnold is by far one of my favorite events and I already can't wait to see you all again next year!

Scott Herman's Getting Fit VIDEO: Triceps explosion!

FST-7 or "Fascial Stretch Training" is a type of training that can be incorporated into your current muscle gain split. It is designed to give you the BEST PUMP possible and the way it works is that you use this method on the FINAL exercise of the bodypart you are targeting.

For example, in my routine I did 4 sets of 10 reps on both "Close-Grip Bench Press" and "Skull Crushers" and now for my final exercise "Weighted-Dips" instead of performing 4 sets of 10 reps, I'm going to utilize FST-7.

• 7 sets
• 10 reps
• 1 exercise
• Rest 30 seconds MAX between sets
