SAN DIEGO -- In just 18 days, our community will gather again in support of equality and justice to celebrate the life and work of Harvey Milk at the fifth annual Harvey Milk Diversity Breakfast. With just a few weeks left, we are almost completely SOLD OUT.

This year we are excited to welcome two special guests to San Diego. Please join us to honor Former Oregon Governor Barbara Roberts with the Harvey Milk Lifetime Leadership Award and award-winning filmmaker Dustin Lance Black with the Harvey Milk Equality Award.

SAN DIEGO – Gay and straight, more than 1,100 San Diegans who support LGBT equality packed a bayfront ballroom on Friday morning for the fourth annual Harvey Milk Diversity Breakfast.

The sold-out breakfast at the San Diego Bayfront Hilton annually brings together a rainbow collection of San Diegans who support equality and justice in celebration of the life and work of LGBT civil-rights icon Harvey Milk.

Harvey Milk Diversity Breakfast youth honorees named

SAN DIEGO – Three San Diego area youth will be recognized Friday at the sold-out Harvey Milk Diversity Breakfast at the San Diego Bayfront Hilton.

More than 1,100 San Diegans who support equality and justice will gather in celebration of Harvey Milk's memory. During the event, the Harvey Milk Youth Leadership Award will be presented to Rebeca Arellano and Haileigh Adams, and the Harvey Milk Youth Essay Award will be presented to Andrew Alvarado.

Harvey Milk Diversity Breakfast honorees named

SAN DIEGO – More than 1,100 San Diegans who support equality and justice will gather in celebration of Harvey Milk's memory at the sold-out fourth annual Harvey Milk Diversity Breakfast on Friday, May 25, at the San Diego Bayfront Hilton.

As a featured part of the event, two San Diego leaders who have inspired us in the tradition of Harvey Milk will be honored.

San Diego celebrates Harvey Milk's birthday with breakfast for 1,000

SAN DIEGO – More than 1,000 San Diegans packed a hotel ballroom Friday morning to celebrate the birthday of gay icon Harvey Milk, hearing inspirational speeches and watching videos that touched the heart.

Stuart Milk, nephew of the assassinated San Francisco supervisor, gave the keynote speech, saluting San Diego voters and their willingness to elect gay and lesbian politicians as a model for cities around the U.S. and the world to emulate.

Organizers of the event, which will be held at the Hilton Bayfront San Diego, seek to bring together all San Diegans who support equality and justice in celebration of the memory of the life and work of Harvey Milk.
