SAN DIEGO -- Testing for Tickets now has 100 free tickets to the first-ever Pride of Hillcrest Block Party on Friday, July 20. Local DJ and community leader Nicholas Moede donated 100 tickets to Testing for Tickets.

In San Diego, Kemet Coalition to offer free HIV testing on June 24

SAN DIEGO -- The Faith-Based Working Group (FBWG) of the Kemet Coalition will be hosting a National HIV Testing Day event on Sunday, June 24, from 11 am to 3 pm.

This event will take place in the parking lot of the Rite Aid Pharmacy, 1735 Euclid Ave. San Diego, CA 92105.

Along with HIV testing, the event will provide advocacy, education, prevention and awareness of HIV/AIDS in San Diego County.

Groundbreaking campaign aims to make frequent HIV testing the new norm for gay and bisexual men

SAN FRANCISCO -- San Francisco AIDS Foundation, San Francisco Department of Public Health (SFDPH), and a coalition of partners today launched an innovative multimedia effort to encourage gay and bisexual men to test regularly for HIV and make frequent HIV testing the social norm in the community.

"Many Shades of Gay" celebrates the diversity of the gay community and focuses on one simple message: No matter what you're into, get an HIV test every six months.

VIDEO: Two UCSD programs offer easy access and incentives for HIV testing

SAN DIEGO -- Two programs based out of University of California San Diego (UCSD) are working to reach out to the community, with a focus on the LGBT community, to ensure that individuals are able to easily and comfortably access HIV testing.

The "Lead the Way" campaign and the Early Test Program's "Testing for Pride Tickets" provide community members with easy access and incentives for taking this step to protect their health.
