Tycoon's lesbian daughter laughs at dad's offer, male suitors

The lesbian daughter whose father offered millions to the man who can win her heart has laughed it off.

Hong Kong publicist Gigi Chao, 33, said she thought her dad’s HK$500 million (S$65m, £40m, €50m) offer was "quite entertaining."

In an interview with the South China Morning Post, she said: ‘He [her father Cecil Chao Sze-tsung] has an interesting interpretation of me.

When she was asked if her father was upset at her reported PACS in Paris with her partner of seven years, Sean Eav, she said: ‘He loved the attention.’

A Hong Kong billionaire has offered up a staggering, if bizarre, "marriage bounty" to any man who can woo his married lesbian daughter.

Business Insider reports that Cecil Chao Sze-tsung publicly announced the $65 million "reward" after hearing that Gigi Chao had eloped with her long-term female partner to France.

Deeming reports of his daughter's same-sex wedding "false," Chao told the South China Morning Post (via CTV News), "I don't mind whether he is rich or poor. The important thing is that he is generous and kind-hearted."
