British filmmakers Darren Flaxstone and Christian Martin of "Shank" fame have teamed up together to create "Buffering," a comedy about a gay couple struggling to make their mortgage and keep their romance alive.

Stunning turnaround on LGBT rights in Malawi?

LILONGWE, Malawi -- The new president of Malawi says she wants to overturn her nation's homophobic laws that make it a crime to be LGBT.

Joyce Banda, who took over the presidency last month after the death of the homophobic leader Bingu wa Mutharika, presides over one of the world's poorest -- and most beautiful -- countries. In her first weeks in office, Banda has reversed some of Mutharika's policies in an attempt to get international aid restored. Many western countries withdrew aid from Malawi over the past few years over concerns about human rights and corruption.

BREAKING NEWS: Rainbow flag will fly high in Hillcrest

SAN DIEGO -- Very soon, San Diego's LGBT community will see a colorful symbol of their pride flying high above the Hillcrest neighborhood.

Today, the City Council voted 7-0 to approve a proposal by the Hillcrest Business Association (HBA) to install a 65-foot flagpole in the median on Normal Street where it intersects with University Avenue.

City Councilmember Lorie Zapf was absent from the vote.

The plan calls for the pole to fly an 18 foot x 12 foot rainbow pride flag year-round, and include some minor enhancements to the median, around the base of the flagpole.

SAN DIEGO – Lawrence “Larry” King was a 15-year-old youth coming to terms with his sexuality and being open and honest with his classmates when he was murdered by a 14-year-old boy in a classroom in Oxnard, Calif.

Seth Walsh was a 13-year-old boy who faced a daily gantlet of bullying at his school in Tehachapi, Calif. His mother, through a veil of tears, explains how her son was constantly taunted and harassed even outside the school – and how she found him hanging from a tree in the family’s backyard. Seth would die days later after life-support measures proved unsuccessful.
