LAPD website "pride" reflects "commitment to diversity and equality"

LOS ANGELES -- The Los Angeles Police Department celebrated Pride 2012 by changing the banner on the department’s website to reflect its “commitment to diversity and equality.”

LAPD spokesman Lieutenant Andy Neiman told LGBTQ Nation on Friday that the department regularly showcases a cause, organization or a group’s heritage in its banner as part of an ongoing commitment to the communities in the City of Los Angeles.
