The romantic comedy “Love Or Whatever” will likely be an audience favorite at FilmOut San Diego’s 15th annual LGBT Film Festival, when the lesbian-directed movie is featured as the Boys Centerpiece on Friday, May 31 at the Birch.

UPDATED: FilmOut San Diego "thinks big" for 15th annual LGBT Film Festival

SAN DIEGO – Look, up in the sky, it’s a bird, it’s a plane … no, it’s billboards of the kind you’ve never seen before in San Diego.

Starting today, three billboards celebrating FilmOut San Diego’s 15th annual LGBT Film Festival will be on display for the next month along University Avenue in North Park and Hillcrest.

FilmOut selling “Early Bird VIP All-Access Pass” to film festival for a limited time

SAN DIEGO – FilmOut San Diego will be selling an “Early Bird VIP All-Access Pass” to the 15th annual LGBT Film Festival today through April 30.

The special price is $99, a 45% savings from individual purchases to attend all films and parties.

San Diego Gay and Lesbian News broke the news about this year’s film festival by publishing the “Ultimate guide to 2013 FilmOut San Diego LGBT Film Festival”, including movie trailers and photos.

SAN DIEGO -- As part of its 15th anniversary celebration, FilmOut San Diego today announced the 35 feature films and shorts that will be shown at the LGBT Film Festival from May 29 to June 2 at the historic Birch North Park Theater.

FilmOut San Diego's LGBT Film Festival is one of the most popular LGBT film festivals in the United States and typically draws moviemakers and stars to America's Finest City to attend the screenings of their movies and to speak during the Q&A sessions with FilmOut audiences.

SAN DIEGO -- Michael McQuiggan, with his cheery personality, friendly smile and curly blond locks, is perhaps the most visible personality associated with FilmOut San Diego.

You'll find him at FilmOut San Diego's annual LGBT Film Festival, the monthly screenings held on the second Wednesdays of the month, and at special movie marathons such as the "Women Who Kick Ass" extravaganza running from noon to midnight Saturday, Oct. 20, at the historic Birch North Park Theatre.

FilmOut San Diego seeking additional board members for 15th anniversary season

SAN DIEGO -- In preparation for their 15th anniversary season, FilmOut San Diego is seeking additional board members to join the non-profit organization, which produces the annual LGBT Film Festival as well as regular monthly film screenings.

The 15th annual festival is scheduled for May 2013 at the historic Birch North Park Theatre.

David Gonzalez, Jeff Howell elected to FilmOut San Diego board

SAN DIEGO -- David Gonzalez and Jeff Howell were elected to the board of directors of FilmOut San Diego on Tuesday night.

Gonzalez, who returns to the FilmOut board, is a senior promotions producer for KGTV Channel 10 in San Diego. He holds a degree in political science from Occidental College.

“Excited to be back! Looking forward to a rocking 15th Anniversary festival!” Gonzalez said in an email to the board.
