DOD FED GLOBE looking for stories of harassment within Department of Defense

SAN DIEGO -- DOD FED GLOBE, a national organization of civilian LGBT and ally employees of the Department of Defense (DOD), is looking for current and former employees of DOD to tell stories of harassment on the job in a video interview.

Servicemembers United accepting donations for military care packages

SAN DIEGO -- As part of its commitment to provide care packages for active duty military personnel, Servicemembers United (SU) operates the "SU Gives Back" program.

The organization's next care package drive will take place on Thursday, Dec. 8, from 7:30 to 9 pm at Bourbon Street Bar & Grill.

Hillcrest chosen as first travel profile in OutServe Magazine

SAN DIEGO -- Hillcrest, the popular LGBT enclave of San Diego, is being featured as the first subject in a newly added Travel Section in OutServe Magazine.

OutServe, a monthly magazine for actively serving LGBT military servicemembers, launched in September to coincide with the repeal of "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" (DADT) and has just released its third issue.

BREAKING NEWS: Pride contingent of LGBT troops, vets to march in San Diego’s Veterans Day parade on Nov. 11

SAN DIEGO – In a moment that will make history, a contingent of LGBT troops and veterans will march with San Diego Pride at the city’s annual Veterans Day parade on Friday, Nov. 11.

With the Sept. 20 repeal of the discriminatory “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy that prevented open service, gay and lesbian troops and veterans can now openly march with their families and loved ones, deservedly earning the respect of Americans for their service to their country.
