MOBILE, Ala. -- The Alabama Court of Civil Appeals has denied a lesbian the right to adopt her partner’s 6-year-old son, because the the state does not permit or recognize same-sex marriages or civil unions.

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — A political advertisement in the current issue of the Florida Agenda, an LGBT weekly newspaper distributed throughout central and south Florida, and paid for by the Broward (County) Log Cabin Republicans of Florida, attacked Democrats and President Barack Obama — using an image of the lifeless body of U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens in the aftermath of last month’s attack on the U.S. Embassy in Benghazi, Libya.

The anti-gay group One Million Moms (rounding up from their actual 50,000 Facebook supporters) is now targeting the planned ABC Family channel’s upcoming show, “The Fosters” — even though the series does not even have a completed pilot episode.

The series, an hour-long drama from Executive Producer Jennifer Lopez, and co-created by Peter Paige (“Queer as Folk”), centers around a multi-ethnic family headed by a lesbian couple.

Former Alabama Chief Justice Roy Moore, who is seeking to regain the office of chief justice, denounced same-sex marriage and predicted it would be the downfall of the country.

Speaking at a Tea Party rally in Fort Payne, Ala., on Saturday, the previously ousted justice said the nation must return to its moral and constitutional roots, reported the Birmingham News.
