SDGLN Poll: Supermajority of readers plan to watch London Olympics

SAN DIEGO – A supermajority of the readers of San Diego Gay & Lesbian News who took our poll say that they plan to watch the Summer Olympic in London, which will begin Friday.

Our poll question was: What are your plans concerning the London Olympics?

The results, which are not scientific, reveal that 71% of readers say they will watch the Olympics on television, 23% don’t care about the Olympic Games, and 5% will be in attendance in London.

SDGLN Poll: Majority of readers say the San Diego Pride Parade is their favorite Pride event

SAN DIEGO – A majority of the readers of San Diego Gay & Lesbian News who took our poll say that the annual Pride Parade is their favorite San Diego Pride event.

Our poll question was: What is your favorite San Diego Pride event?

The results, which are not scientific, reveal that 55% of readers say the Pride Parade is their favorite event, 23% the Pride Festival, 20% the Pride Parties, and 2% the Spirit of Stonewall Rally.

Pride House 2012 to open doors at London Olympics

LONDON -- A gay venue for Olympic athletes, spectators, tourists, families and friends will open for social gatherings on LGBT sports from Aug. 3-7 at CA House in Limehouse Basin Marina, London.

Pride House 2012 has been organized by Pride Sports UK in collaboration with the Federation of Gay Games, and the Pride House Foundation. The venue has been booked to bring together members, friends and families of the worldwide LGBT community coming to London for the games.
