The Dinah 2012: Spend an intimate hour with Meredith Baxter

PALM SPRINGS -- As the countdown to the end of March continues, more and more activities are being added for this year's Club Skirts Presents The Dinah, the largest lesbian event in the world, happening right in San Diego's favorite backyard, Palm Springs.

The latest exciting event to be added is an hour long "up close and personal" question and answer session with Meredith Baxter, hosted by veteran lesbian comedian, Suzanne Westenhoefer.

Get Going with VIDEOS: It's time to show your PRIDE!

If you are a fan of the nightclub/bar scene, it is likely you have noticed that the Pride celebrations are underway, but the big kahuna, the 2011 San Diego LGBT Pride Festival, takes place this weekend, July 15 through July 17.

This marks the 37th annual celebration held on San Diego streets, and the parade itself draws over 150,000 spectators, making it the fifth-largest nationwide.

BREAKING NEWS: Meredith Baxter named grand marshal for San Diego Pride

SAN DIEGO – Actress Meredith Baxter, who came out two years ago after an illustrious career in Hollywood spanning nearly 40 years, will be the grand marshal of this year’s San Diego LGBT Pride parade.

The parade is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 16, starting near The Center and continuing through the heart of Hillcrest to Balboa Park.

These days, Baxter tours the national lecture circuit, raising awareness on issues such as breast cancer, domestic violence, alcoholism and school bullying.
