Labor Day weekend pool party in Palm Springs to benefit EQCA

PALM SPRINGS, Calif. -- To raise money for Equality California's (EQCA) second annual Swim for Equality event, the "Get Wet" pool party will be held at a private Palm Springs estate on Saturday, Sept. 3.

Those who attend the Labor Day weekend poolside bash will be treated to a barbecue by Hollywood's "singing chef" Barry Minniefield; beer, wine and vodka cocktails hosted by Blue Angel; and entertainment by DJ Casey Alva.

SATURDAY: Guys Like Us to host Pool Party Extravaganza benefiting AIDS Walk San Diego

SAN DIEGO -- Guys Like Us (GLU) will host its second pool party of the summer on Saturday, Aug. 6, from noon to 6 pm at the private home of Michael Weiss and Castin Li in Hillcrest.

GLU's pool parties have become a popular summer staple for men in the local LGBT community, with hundreds of people attending each event.

SATURDAY: South Bay Alliance to host fundraiser pool party in Chula Vista

CHULA VISTA, Calif. -- While San Diego County's temperate climate extends the swimming season to be nearly year round, the hot summer days typically bring on a number of pool parties around town.

The South Bay Alliance will host its second annual pool party fundraiser on Saturday, Aug. 6 at a private home in Chula Vista. Admission to the event is $15 and will include food, margaritas, and swimming.

SAN DIEGO -- Guys Like Us (GLU) will host its next summer pool party to benefit AIDS Walk San Diego on Saturday, July 9, from noon to 6 pm.

The pool parties, which have become a popular spring and summer fundraiser tradition for the gay men's social organization, raised over $9,000 for AIDS Walk and $2,000 for the GLU scholarship program last year. The organization hopes to raise even more money this year.
